Description
American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with NICU/Pediatric experience for a 13-week night shift travel contract in a university hospital NICU setting.
Details
- NICU unit at a university medical center
- Night shift: 7pm–7am, 3x12-hour shifts per week
- NICU and pediatric patient population
- Floating to other units is required
- Every other weekend (EOW) work required
- Must be available to work at least 50% of holidays during the contract
- Cerner charting experience preferred but not required
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience, with at least 1 year in NICU or pediatrics
- NICU and/or pediatric experience required
- Current certifications: PALS and NRP (candidates with one in hand and one pending may be considered)
- Active MO or Compact RRT license required at time of consideration
- Ability to ambulate, reach, and move objects weighing 20 lbs or more, with or without reasonable accommodation
- 2 references required for consideration
- Any requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at time of consideration
- License required if applicable
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible; candidates within 75 miles may be considered at a reduced pay rate
- Position operates in a 24/7 healthcare environment; rotating shifts, holiday coverage, and availability during inclement weather are expected
- Regular exposure to patients with contagious illnesses is inherent to this role
