Description
American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for a Float Pool position in Grand Junction, CO, requiring at least 1 year of relevant specialty experience and active ACLS and NIHSS certifications.
Details
- Hospital float pool position with rotation across Medical Surgical, Surgical, Medical Oncology, Inpatient Rehab, Cardiac, and Neuro Trauma Spine units
- Night shifts (12-hour), with flexibility to switch to day shifts
- 36 hours per week, 3 days per week
- 13-week contract
- Charting performed in Epic (experience required)
- On-call may be required during regularly scheduled shifts
Requirements
- Active CO or compact RN license required — no pending licenses accepted
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience in the specialty being applied for
- Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and NIHSS — all must be AHA-issued and must not expire prior to start date
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing (ASN required; BSN preferred)
- DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration
- Former permanent Intermountain employees must have been separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year to be eligible
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care across float pool units
- Performs health teaching, counseling, and patient referrals as needed
- Reviews and monitors therapy and treatment plans, and documents per hospital and regulatory guidelines
- Delegates, supervises, and consults with other care team members as appropriate
- BSN preferred but not required
