Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) position at a hospital in New Jersey, requiring at least 1 year of critical care experience and an active NJ RN license.

Details

• Position is in a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) at a hospital setting
• Night shift, 7p–7a, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hrs/week)
• Floating to a nearby sister hospital may be required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Epic EMR used for charting

Requirements

• Active NJ RN license (NJ or Compact) required
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
• CCRN strongly preferred
• Minimum 1 year of critical care RN experience in a hospital setting required
• Cardiac surgery experience preferred
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; Associate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Strong communication and computer skills required
• Two professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Utilize the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary health care team through a Shared Governance model with a focus on evidence-based care
• Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not accepted
• Travelers may remain on assignment for up to one calendar year from the initial start date; a 30–60 day break is required before returning to a new assignment
