Description

American Traveler is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist with CCC-SLP certification and at least 1 year of experience for a 13-week outpatient assignment in Arizona.

Details

  • Outpatient Speech Pathology setting
  • Monday through Friday schedule, 8am to 5pm, 9-hour shifts
  • 13-week contract
  • Cerner EMR used in this position
  • 40 hours per week

Requirements

  • Active and unrestricted SLP license for the state of Arizona; pending licenses will not be accepted (license required if applicable)
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) required; pending certifications will not be accepted
  • Current BLS certification (AHA)
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a licensed SLP
  • Copy of driver's license required for consideration
  • 2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, both including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire

Additional Information

  • Candidates must permanently reside at least 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates; driver's license is used to verify permanent address
  • Candidates who have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity Health facility within the past year are not eligible; candidates who worked PRN through outside staffing firms will be considered

Traveler friendly, good ratios, great scheduling, decent providers, Uses tiger text to communicate with most doctors. Plenty of hiking activities. Close to Sedona, Flagstaff and Phoenix. 5:1 Med/tele and 3:1 PCU.

Cons

Cost of living is High, roughly $2000-2500 for your own private space. Float between East and West Campus, 25 minutes apart, west will likely be where you spend 75% of your shifts so pick your housing accordingly.
