Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a NICU position at a children's hospital in Oregon, requiring prior travel experience and night shift availability.

Details

  • Position is in the NICU of a children's hospital
  • Patient population includes neonates and infants under one year of age
  • Floating is required within scope of competency to PICU, Pediatric Acute (Infants floor), or NICU Overflow locations as needed
  • Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30
  • Weekend requirement: 3 Saturdays and 3 Sundays per 6-week schedule period
  • Holiday coverage required for at least one of the following: July 4th or Labor Day
  • No on-call responsibilities
  • Charting is done in Epic
  • 13-week contract minimum

Requirements

  • Active Oregon (OR) RN license required; pending license accepted with proof of OR license application and fingerprints
  • Current certifications required: BLS and NRP
  • Minimum 1 year of NICU experience required
  • Previous travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered
  • COVID vaccination required; no exemptions accepted

Additional Information

  • Travelers are expected to float within the facility and across the health system; refusal to float as requested may result in contract cancellation
  • All assigned education modules must be completed within one week of starting the assignment
  • Candidates must not reside within 50 miles of any Legacy Health facility
  • RTO must be finalized prior to consideration; no RTO permitted during the first week of the assignment, and no more than 7 days of RTO per assignment
  • Scrubs may be any color except black or camouflage
  • Parking is free in any unrestricted space
