Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with at least 2 years of experience for a night shift position at a Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital in a short-term acute care setting.

• Short-term acute care hospital setting at a Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital with 733 staffed beds
• RRT unit serving both adult and pediatric ICU patients
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 18:00–06:00
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday coverage is required; only 1 holiday off can be approved per contract
• Floating within scope or between like units is required, including potential float to a sister campus
• Block scheduling is not available
• Epic EMR is used at this facility
• On-call is not required

Requirements

• Current RRT credential required
• State or compact RT license required; pending license not accepted — license required if applicable
• Minimum 2 years of RRT experience required
• Comfort working with both adult and pediatric ICU patient populations required
• Epic EMR experience required
• SSN and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Scrub color requirement: solid black or black and white
• Pre-start facility modules must be completed prior to the start of the assignment (estimated 4–10 hours)
• RTO is limited to a maximum of 4 days per contract; all RTO requests are subject to manager's discretion
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have been away for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Night shift travelers may extend up to twice before needing to be away for a minimum of 6 months prior to returning
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the main campus are not eligible for this position
• Any missed shifts due to call-outs may require a makeup shift at the department's discretion
