Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical Surgical Oncology position requiring a TN or compact RN license and a minimum of 2 years of experience.
Details
- Medical Surgical Oncology unit within a hospital setting
- Day shift schedule, 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM (3x12-hour shifts per week)
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call responsibilities
- Floating to other units required as needed
- Travelers do not administer chemotherapy
Requirements
- Active TN or compact RN license required at time of consideration
- Current AHA BLS certification required (AHA only accepted)
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Two supervisory references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
- Previous charge nurse experience preferred
Additional Information
- Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted
- Orientation begins on Sundays with online computer-based learning (CBLs)
- Travelers are expected to actively support nursing student clinical education alongside their regular patient care responsibilities
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
