Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neuro Progressive Care night shift position requiring a minimum of 2 years of neuro-progressive or ICU experience and active Epic proficiency.

Details

• Neuro Progressive Care unit in an acute care hospital setting
• Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Rotating holiday coverage required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in neuro-progressive, stepdown, or ICU nursing
• Epic EMR experience required
• BLS and/or applicable certifications required; must be from AHA or RQI
• US Social Security Number required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• Flu vaccination required; only medical exemptions signed by a licensed professional are accepted — personal or religious declinations will not be accepted

Additional Information

• Navy blue scrubs are required
• All candidates must complete a Neuro-Progressive competency exam upon offer; 2 attempts to pass are allowed
• Candidates residing in the following counties are not eligible: Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, and Washington
• More than 3 call-outs in a 13-week period may result in contract termination; make-up shifts must be completed within 6 weeks of the last call-out
• Any requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application
• Travel pairs are not permitted for this position
