Description
American Traveler is seeking a Peds Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 2+ years of pediatric/neonatal experience for a night shift travel assignment.
Details
- Hospital-based Pediatric Respiratory Therapy unit with approximately 62 beds across Peds/PICU/NICU
- Pediatric and neonatal patient population with variable patient ratios
- Utilizes Draeger VN500, Hamilton G-5, Oscillator, and Jet Vent equipment
- EPIC EMR system used
- Night shift, 3x12 schedule (6:30 PM - 7:00 AM)
- No weekend hours required
- No call requirements
- Floating required across pediatric/neonatal areas as needed by facility
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited college program in Respiratory Care
- Current RRT license required if applicable
- BLS certification from AHA required
- NRP and PALS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of pediatric/neonatal respiratory therapy experience required
- Prior Neonatal and Pediatric Intensive Care experience required
- Registered as a therapist by the National Board of Respiratory Care
Additional Information
- Provide respiratory care interventions and procedures for pediatric and neonatal patients
- Assist physicians with diagnostic and therapeutic interventions
- Function as preceptor and/or resource person for the department
- Participate in physician rounds and interdisciplinary care coordination
- Communicate patient goals, objectives, and status changes with the healthcare team
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation and patient charting
- Demonstrate flexibility and teamwork within a fast-paced pediatric/neonatal environment
- Black scrub color required per facility dress code
- Flu vaccination or facility-approved exemption required from November 1 through April 1
- Level 1 Trauma & Burn Center and Level 2 Stroke Center facility
- Up to 5 days of requested time off allowed, must be made up during the assignment
