Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR/Surgery RN for a 13-week travel contract in San Antonio, TX, with a 4x10 day shift schedule and a patient population spanning ortho, neuro, plastics, ENT, and robotics cases.
Details
- Hospital surgical unit specializing in general surgery
- Patient population includes orthopedic, neurological, plastics, ENT, and robotic surgery cases
- Schedule: 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
- Epic EMR experience highly preferred
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active RN license in TX or a compact state license valid in TX required
- BLS certification required (AHA only)
- Minimum 1 year of OR/Surgery nursing experience
- BSN preferred
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include independent nursing practice using the full nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
- Administers medications and treatments per protocol, monitoring for side effects and treatment effectiveness
- Provides patient and family education, addressing complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates
- SSN required for consideration
- 2 professional references required for consideration
- Active copies of all certifications must be provided — expired certifications will result in disqualification
