Description
American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a day shift position at a 47-bed acute care facility in Los Alamos, NM, serving patients of all ages in a multi-specialty respiratory therapy department.
Details
- 47-bed acute care facility serving as a major healthcare provider for Northern New Mexico
- Respiratory Therapy department serving patients of all ages (pediatric through geriatric)
- Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- 36 hours per week
- Weekend coverage every other weekend as needed
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Minimum 1–2 years of Respiratory Therapy experience
- Active RRT credential with NM licensure (license required if applicable)
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, and PALS (AHA certifications required)
- Candidates must reside 60+ miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates
- Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
- Must not have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
- Cannot be employed elsewhere full time
Additional Information
- New Mexico state law requires all clinical staff to be fingerprinted before hire; travelers may begin on a 14-day waiver while results are pending, but must be supervised during that period
- All required certifications must be obtained prior to assignment start
- Any color scrubs are acceptable; casual or unprofessional attire is not permitted
- Orientation is held weekly on Mondays
