Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) position in Ohio, requiring cardiac ICU experience and proficiency with advanced hemodynamic monitoring skills.

Details

• Work setting is a cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) in a hospital environment
• Patient population consists of complex cardiac critical care cases with an estimated 1:1–2 patient ratio
• Required skills include IV starts, telemetry monitoring, ventilator management, Swan-Ganz catheter (PA lines), balloon pumps, and conscious sedation
• Epic EMR experience is required
• Schedule is 3x12-hour shifts per day, rotating days and nights (7:00–19:30 / 19:00–7:30)
• Up to 6 weekend shifts per 4-week scheduling period; day shift weekends are Saturday/Sunday, night shift weekends are Friday/Saturday
• No on-call requirements
• Floating is required within units of equivalent or lower acuity; travelers will not be floated more than once every 4 weeks
• Rotating holiday coverage is required

Requirements

• Active OH RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of cardiac ICU experience preferred
• Proficiency with IV starts, telemetry, ventilators, Swan-Ganz/PA lines, balloon pumps, and conscious sedation required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Two professional references required: at least one must be from a Manager, Director, or formal leadership role (Supervisor); a Charge RN is acceptable as a second reference; co-worker references are not accepted

Additional Information

• Local candidates are accepted
• Former employees of the facility are eligible to return after a minimum 6-month separation
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted prior to the assignment and is limited to 7 days or fewer for the contract duration
• Ohio state fingerprinting is required and must be completed promptly after accepting the assignment; candidates outside Ohio will need to travel to an in-state fingerprinting location or will receive a mail-in fingerprinting packet
• Parking is available for purchase on-site through the campus parking system, with multiple permit options ranging from garage access to surface lot/shuttle service
