Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an OB/GYN - LDRP night shift position in Lawrenceburg, TN, requiring prior L&D, postpartum, and nursery experience with ACLS, AWHONN, BLS, NRP, and PALS certifications.

• Work in a 6-bed OB/GYN unit at a 99-bed acute care community hospital in Lawrenceburg, TN
• Patient population spans all ages within the OB/GYN specialty
• Patient ratios: 1:1 for laboring moms; couplet care model for postpartum
• Responsibilities include intrapartum and postpartum care, newborn nursery, and pre-transition newborn care
• EMR systems used: CPM and MEDHOST
• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend and as-needed weekend coverage required
• On-call required as needed
• Floating required as needed
• 12-week contract

Requirements

• Active TN or Compact RN license required
• Required certifications (AHA): ACLS, BLS, NRP, PALS, and AWHONN — all must be obtained prior to start
• Minimum 1 year of OB/GYN experience required
• Previous L&D, postpartum, and newborn nursery experience required, including pre-transition newborn care
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
• Must reside 60+ miles from the facility to qualify for this travel position
• Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Cannot be employed full-time elsewhere

Additional Information

• Provide comprehensive LDRP care including labor and delivery, postpartum, and newborn nursery services
• All clinical staff working in Tennessee must be cleared through the Tennessee Abuse Registry prior to the assignment start date
• Orientation is held biweekly on Mondays
• Any color scrubs are acceptable; non-facility-associated attire is not permitted
• Lawrenceburg, TN is approximately 1.5 hours from Nashville and offers outdoor recreation, historical attractions, and local events including David Crockett State Park and the James D. Vaughan Southern Gospel Music Museum
