Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiac Cath Lab travel position in Sierra Vista, AZ, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience in diagnostic and interventional cardiology procedures.

Details

• Work in the Cardiac Cath Lab of a 90-bed acute care hospital in Sierra Vista, AZ
• Adult patient population with a primary focus on coronary artery disease (CAD)
• Scope of practice includes cardiac cath, stress testing, TEE, tilt testing, and IR float procedures (vascular embolization, ports, vascular stenting, nephrostomy tube placement)
• Preferred experience with manifold, IVUS, FFR, IVL, Impella, IABP, and pre/post unit care
• Day shift: 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• 36 hours per week
• On-call required; call requirement exceeds 12 days
• IR float is required
• Every other weekend required
• GE fluoroscopy equipment in use; transitioning to a new hemodynamics system
• Charting via Cerner EMR
• Bi-weekly orientation schedule

Requirements

• Active AZ RN license or compact RN license required
• AHA certifications required (BLS at minimum; confirm additional certifications based on specialty)
• RRT or RCIS certification required for scrub tech role (RN applicants must hold RN license)
• Minimum 2 years of cardiac cath lab experience required
• Experience in both diagnostic and interventional cardiology procedures required
• Social Security number required for consideration
• Date of birth required for consideration
• Candidates must reside 60 or more miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate

Additional Information

• Performs cardiac catheterization, stress testing, transesophageal echocardiography (TEE), tilt table testing, and selected IR procedures as part of cath lab team coverage
• Hospital-provided scrubs
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates who are currently employed full-time elsewhere are not eligible
• First-time travelers are not mentioned as eligible; prior travel or equivalent experience is expected given the specialized nature of the role
