Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist (PT) with inpatient rehabilitation or neuro experience for a 13-week travel contract at a freestanding inpatient rehabilitation facility in Gainesville, GA.
Details
- Freestanding, 2-story inpatient rehabilitation facility with 40 beds
- Physical Therapy department serving adult, geriatric, neuro, ortho, debility, amputee, and critical illness populations
- Common diagnoses include CVA, hip fracture, and debility
- Patient ratio of 4–6 patients per therapist
- Specialized equipment includes Bioness Vector, Senaptec, Neuro VR, LiteGait, standing frame, tilt table, car simulator, Chattanooga tower, NuStep, and Omnicycle
- EHR: Epic (read only) and UDS Pro Doc Rehab Connect
- Day shift, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, with weekend rotation (approx. 8 hours of weekend coverage per week)
- No call or float requirements
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Minimum 1–2 years of physical therapy experience required
- Neuro or inpatient rehabilitation experience required
- Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy required
- Skills in evaluation and treatment of neuro, ortho, and geriatric populations required
- Active Georgia PT license required if applicable
- AHA certifications required
- SSN and date of birth required for consideration
Additional Information
- Primary responsibilities include evaluation and treatment of neuro, ortho, and geriatric patients across inpatient rehabilitation settings
- Experience with GG Quality Indicators is preferred
- Experience with inpatient rehab-specific equipment (e.g., Bioness Vector, Neuro VR, LiteGait) is a plus
- Team is described as down-to-earth and collaborative, with an emphasis on engaging, enjoyable patient care
- Any scrub color is acceptable
- Candidates must live more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible
- Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the past 12 months are not eligible
- Candidates who are currently employed full time elsewhere are not eligible
