Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel Inpatient Occupational Therapist with 2+ years of experience for a 13-week assignment requiring a CA license and the ability to float between inpatient rehab and acute care.

Details

• Inpatient rehab unit (ARU) with occasional float to inpatient acute care
• Sunday through Thursday schedule
• Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts (8:00–17:30)

Requirements

• Active CA OT license required (license required if applicable)
• Minimum 2 years of OT experience required
• Current BLS (Healthcare Provider) certification required
• Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program (equivalent experience accepted in lieu of degree)
• Ability to float between inpatient rehab and acute care settings

Additional Information

• Assess, plan, and implement occupational therapy programs for patients with illness, injury, psychological conditions, or developmental delays
• Develop and update individualized Plans of Care (POC) based on patient evaluation and diagnosis
• Coordinate patient care with interdisciplinary team members and support staff
• Provide clinical supervision to OT assistants and aides, and serve as clinical instructor for assigned students
• Maintain accurate documentation including patient evaluations, treatment records, and charge capture in the EHR
• Participate in quality improvement processes and interdisciplinary projects
• Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel rates
• Former employees must have been away for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Only 1 holiday RTO request will be approved during the assignment
• 2 supervisory references obtained within the past year are required for consideration
