Description
American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with NICU and adult care experience for a 13-week day shift contract at a hospital in Manatee County, FL.
Details
- Day shift position with three 12-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week)
- NICU and adult care patient populations
- Drager ventilators used in this position
- Cerner EMR used; experience required
Requirements
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required; CRT not accepted
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a US hospital in respiratory therapy
- NICU and adult care experience required
- Drager ventilator experience required
- Cerner EMR experience required
- Active (not pending) RT license required; license required if applicable
- Required certifications (AHA only): BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP
- US Social Security Number required for consideration
- Date of birth required for consideration
- Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
Additional Information
- Administer respiratory care by physician prescription, including diagnostic evaluation, management, patient education, rehabilitation, and cardiopulmonary care
- Responsibilities include obtaining and analyzing physiological specimens, interpreting physiologic data, and performing cardiopulmonary tests and studies
- Apply and monitor medical gases, environmental control systems, mechanical ventilatory support, artificial airway care, bronchopulmonary hygiene, and pharmacological agents related to respiratory care
- Provide hemodynamic cardiovascular support and cardiopulmonary rehabilitation
- Two manager or supervisor references verifying experience within the previous 12 months are preferred; at least one reference should be from the most recent employer
- Certifications must be from the American Heart Association (AHA) only
