Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position at a cardiac-focused hospital in Ohio, requiring 2 years of PCU experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Lower-acuity cardiac PCU within a heart hospital setting
• Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
• Estimated patient ratio of 1:3
• Weekday and some weekend shifts required
• Rotating holiday coverage required
• Floating required within units of equivalent or lower acuity level

Requirements

• Active Ohio RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of PCU experience required
• Cardiac experience preferred
• Proficiency in IV insertion and telemetry monitoring required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Two professional references required: at least one from a Manager, Director, or formal leadership role (Supervisor); second reference may be from a Charge RN; co-worker references are not accepted

• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers
• Former employees of this facility are eligible to apply once they have been away for 6 months or more
• Requested time off (RTO) must be submitted and built into the contract, limited to 7 days or fewer
• All candidates are required to complete an Ohio fingerprinting process promptly upon booking; candidates outside of Ohio may need to drive to a fingerprinting location or will receive a mailed fingerprinting packet to be completed urgently
• Multiple parking permit options are available for agency staff through the hospital's campus parking system, ranging from a convenient medical center garage permit to budget surface lot options with shuttle service
