Description

American Traveler is hiring a RN for a Med/Surg Tele Resource Pool position requiring an active IA or compact license and willingness to float across multiple units and campuses.

Details

• Resource Pool position within a hospital setting requiring float coverage across multiple med-surg units
• Float assignments may include Ortho, Med-Surg, Neurology Step Down, Oncology, Surgical Telemetry, and Med-Surg Tele units
• May be required to float to a second campus located 9.5 miles from the main downtown facility
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday coverage required every other holiday
• 26-week assignment length

Requirements

• Active RN license (IA or Compact) currently in hand
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association required for all direct patient care personnel
• ACLS certification required if assigned to CCU, ED, PACU, MICU, or SICU units
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
• NIHSS and TNCC certifications may be required depending on unit assignment

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care across a variety of medical-surgical and telemetry units as part of a hospital resource pool team
• Must be willing and able to float to multiple departments and a secondary campus as needed
• 24-hour notice for a shift may be waived
• First-time travelers may be considered for this position
