Description

American Traveler is hiring a Sonographer with a minimum of 2 years of experience and RDMS (OB/GYN) certification for a Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) ultrasound position.

Details

  • Outpatient MFM clinic setting performing high-complexity obstetric and fetal imaging
  • Imaging studies include detailed anatomical surveys, fetal echocardiograms, biophysical profiles (BPP), fetal growth scans, umbilical artery Dopplers, transvaginal ultrasounds, 1st trimester ultrasounds, and amniocentesis ultrasound guidance
  • Complex scan volume is restricted to a limit of 10 per day
  • Equipment includes GE E10 and Expert 22 ultrasound systems
  • EMR systems used: Epic and Viewpoint
  • Schedule is Monday–Thursday 7:30 AM–5:00 PM and Friday 7:30 AM–11:30 AM
  • No weekend, holiday, or on-call requirements
  • 13-week contract

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of sonography experience, preferably in MFM; strong OB/GYN background will also be considered
  • RDMS certification in OB/GYN required; Fetal Echo (FE) credential preferred
  • Active BLS (AHA) certification required
  • Active ARDMS certification required
  • Proficiency with detailed anatomical surveys, fetal echocardiography, and complex obstetric imaging required
  • Experience with Epic and/or Viewpoint EMR preferred
  • A valid driver's license is required for consideration
  • 2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire
  • License required if applicable

Additional Information

  • Reports directly to an in-office MFM provider
  • No supervisory or lead responsibilities required
  • Orientation is 12 hours
  • Black scrub pants are required; tops must be in CommonSpirit-approved colors
  • Candidates may not have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity Health facility within the past year; candidates employed PRN through outside staffing firms will be considered
