Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Step-Down/PCU position in California, requiring a CA RN license and at least 1 year of Medical/Surgical Step-Down experience on a night shift schedule.

Details

Hospital-based PCU/Step-Down unit operating as an 8-bed Medical/Surgical/Telemetry (MST) overflow unit
Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30
Rotating weekend requirement
No on-call responsibilities
13-week contract

Requirements

Active California RN license required
Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
Minimum 1 year of Medical/Surgical Step-Down experience required
2 supervisor references obtained within the past year required for consideration
Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates

Additional Information

Provides comprehensive, patient- and family-centered care addressing potential and actual health and illness problems
Former employees of this health system must have been separated for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
Only 1 holiday RTO request will be approved for the duration of the contract
