Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced OR RN with strong neuro, cardiac, and transplant circulating experience for a night shift travel contract at a high-acuity Magnet teaching hospital in Washington State.
Details
- Operating Room in a 637-bed Magnet-designated academic teaching hospital
- High-acuity OR environment with 28 rooms and an average daily census of 50–75
- Patient population includes neuro, cardiac, transplant, orthopedic/sports (minimally invasive arthroscopic), laparoscopic, robotics, general, GYN, urology, and plastics cases
- Night shift, 3x12 schedule (0845–0715)
- Floating within the hospital to other specialties when census is low; no floating to sister hospitals
- Scrubs are provided for OR personnel (any color)
- Charting via Epic (experience preferred but not required)
Requirements
- Active WA RN license or Compact RN license; pending licenses are not accepted
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum 3–4 years of OR RN experience required, with strong neuro circulating experience
- Experience circulating cardiac and transplant cases required
- Experience in multiple service lines strongly preferred (e.g., cardiac, robotics, spine, thoracic, vascular)
- Teaching hospital and trauma hospital experience preferred
- COVID vaccination and booster required — no exceptions
- At least 2 travel assignments beyond initial hospital experience preferred
Additional Information
- Circulate across a broad range of surgical cases including neuro, cardiac, transplant, and minimally invasive procedures
- May be asked to take on charge nurse duties as needed
- Scrubs are provided on-unit
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rates with no radius restriction
- RTO is limited to a maximum of 1 week and cannot be requested during orientation week; RTO should be kept to a minimum
- Former UW staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 18 months before returning as a traveler
- Weekend requirements are TBD
- Parking is available at a daily cost of approximately $10.26
