Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical/Surgical unit position requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and an active GA or compact RN license.

• Hospital Medical/Surgical unit setting
• Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating within the facility and within scope of practice may be required, including to a CNA/Tech role
• No block scheduling or alternate shift requests permitted
• Local candidates are accepted

Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg RN experience required
• Current certifications must be on file and available for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• RTO is limited to a maximum of 7 days; RTO cannot be requested during the first week of the assignment
• Travelers who have previously worked at any Piedmont facility must have been away for a full year before returning as a traveler
• Holiday coverage is expected: if one or two major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work all of them; if three major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two of them
• Major holidays include: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday (counted as one), Christmas Eve/Christmas Day (counted as one), and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day (counted as one)
• Travel pairs will not be assigned to the same shift on the same unit
• Full compliance with onboarding requirements is required to start on time; delays may result in a two-week pushback due to a bi-weekly orientation schedule
