Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a night shift position in a hospital setting, requiring at least 1 year of experience and proficiency with advanced equipment including ECMO and Nitric Oxide therapy.

Details

• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30
• Work every other weekend
• Holiday coverage is required
• No call or float requirements
• Epic EMR experience preferred

Requirements

• RRT credential required; CRT will also be considered
• Minimum 1 year of respiratory therapy experience required
• Active Louisiana (LA) state license required — must be in hand at time of consideration; license required if applicable
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS
• Experience with Nitric Oxide therapy, ECMO, and bedside bronchoscopies required
• Experience with ventilators including Puritan Bennett 840 and 980, BiPAP (Philips V60), and transport vents (Pneutron, Newport, and Parapac) required
• Supervisor reference dated within the last 12 months required for consideration
• A copy of a valid driver's license is required for consideration
• Any employment gaps of more than 30 days must be listed and explained

Additional Information

• Gray scrubs are required
• RTO is strictly capped at 5 days for the duration of the assignment
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates
• Former permanent employees of any LCMC facility must have been separated for at least 1 year to be eligible for consideration
