Description
American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a night shift position in a hospital setting, requiring at least 1 year of experience and proficiency with advanced equipment including ECMO and Nitric Oxide therapy.
Details
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30
- Work every other weekend
- Holiday coverage is required
- No call or float requirements
- Epic EMR experience preferred
Requirements
- RRT credential required; CRT will also be considered
- Minimum 1 year of respiratory therapy experience required
- Active Louisiana (LA) state license required — must be in hand at time of consideration; license required if applicable
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS
- Experience with Nitric Oxide therapy, ECMO, and bedside bronchoscopies required
- Experience with ventilators including Puritan Bennett 840 and 980, BiPAP (Philips V60), and transport vents (Pneutron, Newport, and Parapac) required
- Supervisor reference dated within the last 12 months required for consideration
- A copy of a valid driver's license is required for consideration
- Any employment gaps of more than 30 days must be listed and explained
Additional Information
- Gray scrubs are required
- RTO is strictly capped at 5 days for the duration of the assignment
- Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates
- Former permanent employees of any LCMC facility must have been separated for at least 1 year to be eligible for consideration
