Description
American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist with 2+ years of experience for a 13-week travel assignment at an academic medical center in Oregon.
Details
- Works in a hospital-based Interventional Radiology department rotating between two on-site locations
- Patient population ranges from neonates to geriatrics
- Procedures include central line placements, embolizations, stroke interventions, and a broad range of vascular and non-vascular cases
- 4x10 hour day shifts, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
- Average of 4–6 on-call shifts per month
- Epic EMR — experience required
- Candidates may be required to float to a nearby affiliate hospital; refusal to float as requested may result in contract cancellation
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience operating radiologic equipment or an equivalent combination of specialized training and experience
- Current ARRT certification and BLS required
- OBMI certification required
- Active Oregon (OR) license required if applicable
- Epic EMR experience required
- COVID vaccination proof required — no exemptions accepted
- Two manager or supervisor references from within the last 24 months required for consideration (charge RN references are not acceptable)
Additional Information
- Works collaboratively with interventional physicians and nurses to deliver high-quality patient care
- Provides direct patient care using medical imaging techniques to assist interventionalists in diagnosis and treatment
- Assists with radiographic procedures to visualize vascular and non-vascular structures for interpretation and therapeutic intervention
- Responsible for maintaining radiation safety for patients and all team members during procedures
- First-time travelers should check with their recruiter regarding eligibility for this position
- Former employees or previous travelers at this facility must have been away for at least 6 months to be eligible to return as a traveler
- RTO requests must be submitted at the time of application and may not exceed 2 weeks
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate — no radius restriction applies
