Description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist with 2+ years of experience for a 13-week travel assignment at an academic medical center in Oregon.

Details

  • Works in a hospital-based Interventional Radiology department rotating between two on-site locations
  • Patient population ranges from neonates to geriatrics
  • Procedures include central line placements, embolizations, stroke interventions, and a broad range of vascular and non-vascular cases
  • 4x10 hour day shifts, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
  • Average of 4–6 on-call shifts per month
  • Epic EMR — experience required
  • Candidates may be required to float to a nearby affiliate hospital; refusal to float as requested may result in contract cancellation

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience operating radiologic equipment or an equivalent combination of specialized training and experience
  • Current ARRT certification and BLS required
  • OBMI certification required
  • Active Oregon (OR) license required if applicable
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • COVID vaccination proof required — no exemptions accepted
  • Two manager or supervisor references from within the last 24 months required for consideration (charge RN references are not acceptable)

Additional Information

  • Works collaboratively with interventional physicians and nurses to deliver high-quality patient care
  • Provides direct patient care using medical imaging techniques to assist interventionalists in diagnosis and treatment
  • Assists with radiographic procedures to visualize vascular and non-vascular structures for interpretation and therapeutic intervention
  • Responsible for maintaining radiation safety for patients and all team members during procedures
  • First-time travelers should check with their recruiter regarding eligibility for this position
  • Former employees or previous travelers at this facility must have been away for at least 6 months to be eligible to return as a traveler
  • RTO requests must be submitted at the time of application and may not exceed 2 weeks
  • Local candidates are accepted at the same rate — no radius restriction applies
