Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with PICU/NICU experience, including Level IV NICU and high-frequency ventilator skills, for a 13-week night shift travel contract.

Details

• Pediatric ICU (PICU) setting at an academic medical center
• Patients include critically ill pediatric patients with cardiac anomalies and complex respiratory needs
• Experience with high-frequency jet ventilators and oscillating ventilators required in this unit
• Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 18:45–07:15
• Schedule is published in 6-week blocks
• 6 weekend shifts required per schedule block
• No on-call requirement
• Local candidates within 75 miles of the facility are eligible at a reduced rate
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Current NC RRT license or Compact RRT license in hand at time of consideration — license required if applicable
• Active certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NRP, and PALS — all must be in hand at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of experience in NICU, pediatric critical care, pediatrics, and ED
• Level IV NICU experience required
• Experience with high-frequency jet ventilators and oscillating ventilators required
• Experience with pediatric cardiac anomalies required
• Level 1 trauma experience required
• 1 supervisory reference from within the last year required
• Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
• Flu vaccine required seasonally (October 31 – March 31); no exemptions accepted
