Description
American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with PICU/NICU experience, including Level IV NICU and high-frequency ventilator skills, for a 13-week night shift travel contract.
Details
- Pediatric ICU (PICU) setting at an academic medical center
- Patients include critically ill pediatric patients with cardiac anomalies and complex respiratory needs
- Experience with high-frequency jet ventilators and oscillating ventilators required in this unit
- Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 18:45–07:15
- Schedule is published in 6-week blocks
- 6 weekend shifts required per schedule block
- No on-call requirement
- Local candidates within 75 miles of the facility are eligible at a reduced rate
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Current NC RRT license or Compact RRT license in hand at time of consideration — license required if applicable
- Active certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NRP, and PALS — all must be in hand at time of consideration
- Minimum 2 years of experience in NICU, pediatric critical care, pediatrics, and ED
- Level IV NICU experience required
- Experience with high-frequency jet ventilators and oscillating ventilators required
- Experience with pediatric cardiac anomalies required
- Level 1 trauma experience required
- 1 supervisory reference from within the last year required
- Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
- Flu vaccine required seasonally (October 31 – March 31); no exemptions accepted
