Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring 2 years of experience, Epic proficiency, and a WA or compact RN license.

Details

Labor & Delivery unit in a hospital setting
Patient population includes labor, preterm labor, and OB-GYN surgical cases
Unit consists of 8 labor rooms and 4 triage rooms
Staffing ratio of 1:1–3
Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)
Floating required to Post-Partum and NICU based on skill set; all travelers are expected to float between facilities within the state
Procedures include blood/blood products administration, cardioversion/defibrillation, epidural pumps, PCA pumps, syringe pumps, wound vac, and administration of heparin, insulin, and magnesium sulfate
Attends all deliveries including high-risk deliveries; responsibilities include circulating, scrubbing, OB-GYN surgery support, couplet care, low-risk antepartum, and transition nursery
EMR: Epic (required)

Requirements

Active WA RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
Required certifications: BLS, Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and AWHONN Intermediate; ACLS preferred
Minimum 2 years of L&D experience required
Epic EMR experience required
Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting
Full SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
Former permanent employees of any Providence Swedish facility must have been separated for at least 3 months and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
Former permanent employees of non-Swedish Providence facilities are eligible after a 3-month separation
Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
Minimal RTO is expected for this position; a few days may be approved but significant RTO requests are discouraged
All required certifications must be current and on file at the time of consideration
