Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel Echo Technologist for a weekend day shift position in an Ultrasound/Echocardiology department, with mandatory echo experience required.

Details

• Located in the Ultrasound/Echocardiology department on the 1st floor of a 204-bed acute care hospital
• 12.5-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday
• Day shift staffing includes 2 Ultrasound and 2 Echo technologists; night shift is covered by 1 Ultrasound technologist
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Procedures include general and vascular ultrasound, paracentesis, thoracentesis, biopsy, transthoracic echo (TTE), and transesophageal echo (TEE)
• Equipment used includes GE Logiq e95 and GE Logiq e10
• EMR: Cerner
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Mandatory echo experience required
• Allied candidates must have at least 6 months of experience within the last 6 months in the role
• Active state license required if applicable
• BLS certification required (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start)
• Advanced imaging certifications preferred
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration — Canadian SSNs are not accepted
• Two professional references required (due to Florida facility location)
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates will not be considered
• Travelers are expected to work holidays in rotation with hospital staff
• Radiology staff wear black scrubs
• Advanced imaging certifications are a preferred qualification
