Description
American Traveler is hiring an Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer for a Non-Invasive Cardiology position requiring at least 1 year of experience and RDCS or RCS certification.
Details
- Non-Invasive Cardiology unit within a regional hospital setting
- Performs a variety of diagnostic cardiac and vascular ultrasound exams under physician direction
- 5x8-hour day shifts, 40 hours per week
- Shared on-call obligations on nights, weekends, and holidays with a required 30-minute response time
- Epic used for charting
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in echocardiography or cardiac sonography
- RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer) or RCS (Registered Cardiac Sonographer) certification required
- ARDMS registration accepted in lieu of RDCS/RCS
- BLS certification from AHA required and must not expire prior to start date
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree preferred
- Must live within 30 minutes of the facility to meet on-call response requirements
- DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration
- Active license required if applicable
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include preparing exam rooms, obtaining patient history, selecting appropriate protocols, positioning patients, and performing ultrasound procedures
- Reviews completed exams for quality and completeness, and coordinates image preparation and documentation for physician review
- Monitors equipment reliability, reports issues, and maintains a clean and stocked work environment
- Participates in quality initiatives including patient satisfaction and workflow improvement
- Former permanent staff must have been separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
- Experience in cardiac ultrasound (echocardiography) is preferred
