Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Orthopedics position in Billings, MT, requiring at least 1 year of med/surg ortho experience and an active MT or compact RN license.

Details

• Med/Surg Orthopedics unit within a regional hospital setting
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
• Epic EMR used for charting
• Floating to other departments may be required based on business need
• On-call during regularly scheduled shifts may be required

Requirements

• Active RN license in Montana (MT) or a valid Compact RN license currently in hand — no pending licenses accepted
• Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg Orthopedics RN experience required
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required — must not expire prior to start date
• ACLS, NRP, or PALS as appropriate for the unit
• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing (ASN minimum); BSN preferred
• DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates individualized nursing care for orthopedic patients
• Performs health teaching, counseling, and ongoing health data collection and assessment
• Reviews and monitors therapy and treatment plans, referring patients as needed for further evaluation
• BSN and specialty certification are preferred but not required
• Candidates who have been permanent staff at any Intermountain facility must have been separated for at least 1 year before being eligible for a travel assignment
• AHA certifications must not expire prior to the assignment start date
