Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cardiac Catheterization Technologist with a minimum of 5 years of cath lab experience for a 16-week contract position at a community hospital setting.

  • Single-room cardiac catheterization lab within a community hospital setting
  • Diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures performed
  • Monday through Friday schedule with no call requirements
  • Variable hours based on procedural volume and department needs
  • 16-week contract assignment

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of recent cardiac catheterization lab experience required
  • Graduate of an accredited Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, or related program
  • Current BLS required; ACLS preferred
  • RCIS certification preferred; ARRT accepted with cardiac catheterization experience
  • Strong knowledge of sterile technique, cardiovascular anatomy, and cardiac procedures
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced procedural environment
  • State license required if applicable
  • DOB and SSN may be required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Responsibilities include preparing procedure rooms and supplies, assisting physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures, and operating fluoroscopy and hemodynamic monitoring equipment
  • Maintain sterile technique and ensure compliance with infection prevention standards
  • Monitor patient status and communicate changes to the clinical team throughout procedures
  • Document procedural information accurately and participate in quality and patient safety initiatives
  • Assist with patient transport, positioning, and post-procedure care as needed
