Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a high-volume Endoscopy Lab position requiring on-call availability and rotation through pre-, post-, and intra-op areas.
Details
- Work in a high-volume, fast-paced Endoscopy Lab within a hospital setting
- RNs rotate through pre-op, post-op, and intra-op areas
- Day shift schedule: 07:30–18:00
- On-call required, approximately 5 call shifts per 4-week period
- Floating to other like units may be required
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active SC or compact RN license required
- BLS certification required (AHA only)
- ACLS certification required (AHA only)
- Minimum 1 year of endoscopy or GI nursing experience required
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include patient assessment through history, observation, physical examination, and diagnostic data analysis
- Provides age-specific nursing interventions consistent with the plan of care and standards of practice
- Expected to contribute to department performance through precepting and mentoring of novice staff
- Participates in hospital-system initiatives and evidence-based practice development
