Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a GI/Endoscopy Lab position at a Level I Trauma facility, requiring strong circulating and scrub/tech skills in advanced endoscopic procedures including ERCP and EUS.

Details

  • Acute care hospital setting within a GI/Endoscopy Lab unit at a Level I Trauma Center
  • Specialized advanced endoscopic procedures performed include ERCP, EUS, EMR/ESD, Enteroscopy, and Endolumenal Surgery
  • Charting performed in Epic EMR
  • Day shift with 8-hour or 10-hour shift options (4x10s or 5x8s), to be discussed at interview
  • On-call required: approximately 1–2 weeknights per week and every 3 weekends
  • 13-week assignment

Requirements

  • Active NE state or Compact (NLC) RN license — must be active at time of consideration; pending licenses will not be accepted
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required; pending certifications will not be accepted
  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
  • Strong circulating and scrub/tech skills for advanced GI procedures such as ERCP and EUS required
  • Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months, and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years — both must include dates of employment and eligibility for rehire
  • Copy of driver's license required for consideration
  • Candidates must permanently reside at least 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates (per NE radius rule)

Additional Information

  • Responsibilities include assisting with and circulating for advanced endoscopic procedures including ERCP, EUS, EMR/ESD, Enteroscopy, and Endolumenal Surgery
  • Scope responsibilities include high-level disinfection and reprocessing of complex endoscopes in accordance with SGNA and manufacturer standards
  • RNs must pass an open-book skills exam during orientation with a minimum score of 90% — failure to pass results in contract termination
  • Artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care departments — refusal to remove nails will result in contract termination
  • Candidates who have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit or CHI-affiliated facility within the past year are not eligible; candidates employed PRN through outside staffing firms will be considered
