  • On-call required; frequency depends on patient census

  • Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant cardiac telemetry nursing experience
  • Experience in a fast-paced unit with similar patient acuity and ratios required
  • Proficiency in IV insertion, telemetry monitoring, cardiac drip management, and PCI care

  • Approximately 8–10 hours of pre-start online modules are required for this acute care role; modules must also be completed annually

  • Candidate must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
  • Any previous permanent, PRN, or employee pool staff of Novant Health or New Hanover Regional must wait 12 months before being eligible to apply as a traveler; facility rehire approval is required
  • Travel pairs are permitted provided each traveler has their own transportation and is comfortable with potentially different schedules
