Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a travel contract at an acute care hospital in Torrance, CA, with Epic EMR experience required and potential float to a nearby facility.
Details
- Operating Room position at a 356-bed acute care hospital in Torrance, CA
- Day shift schedule: 5x8-hour shifts, 6:45 AM – 3:15 PM
- One Saturday shift required per 6-week rotation
- One on-call shift required per 6-week rotation
- Float to a sister facility in San Pedro may be required
- Charting via Epic EMR
- Free parking available on-site
- Block scheduling available at manager's discretion
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active CA RN license required (pending licenses not accepted)
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of OR nursing experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable OR setting
- Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Local candidates are accepted for this position
- Any scrub color is acceptable
- RTO requests must be disclosed at time of consideration — minimal RTO is strongly preferred
- Former permanent employees of a Providence facility must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
- All travelers are expected to float between Providence facilities within the state; refusal to float may result in termination of assignment
- Candidates must disclose any prior work history at a Providence facility (location and dates) at time of consideration
