Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cath Lab position in Florida requiring a minimum of two years of recent Cath Lab experience and on-call availability including weekends.
Details
- Hospital-based Cath Lab setting
- Schedule: 4x10-hour day shifts, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–5:30 PM
- On-call required on both weekdays and weekends
- Holiday coverage may be required
- Hurricane emergency sign-up required
- Procedures include: Diagnostic Right & Left Heart Cath, Interventional Cath, Administration/Monitoring of Procedural Sedation, and Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan Ganz Monitoring
- Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias is a core clinical skill for this role
- Epic EMR experience required
Requirements
- Active FL or Compact RN license currently in hand
- Current certifications required: BLS and ACLS (AHA or ARC), NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- Minimum 2 years of recent Cath Lab experience required
- Circulating experience required; scrub experience preferred
- Nursing degree must be from an accredited school, or from an institution approved by the Florida Board of Nursing (FBON) with at least 2 years of consecutive acute care experience within the past 24 months in a US hospital
- Must successfully complete a Florida AHCA Level 2 background screening, including fingerprint-based state and federal criminal history checks and abuse registry review
- Proof of vaccination status required; declinations are not accepted
Additional Information
- Candidates must pass a Basic Arrhythmia (EKG) assessment; a score of 100% on the lethal rhythms section is required
- If the initial arrhythmia assessment is not passed, a retake exam must be completed within 24 hours with an overall Angoff score of 83% or higher, 100% on the lethal rhythm section, and 83% on all other sections
- A study guide and preparation tips are available through the facility's online orientation portal
- Local candidates within a 60-mile radius of the facility are considered for this position
