Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry Resource Pool position requiring at least 1 year of experience, with on-call obligations and night shift availability.
Details
- Resource Float Pool position within a Med/Surg Telemetry unit, with the possibility of floating to other units across two campuses as needed
- Patient ratio of 1:6
- Night shift schedule, 4x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00)
- On-call or additional shift coverage required: 2 on-call shifts OR 2 additional shifts per 6-week period
- Weekends required on an as-needed basis
- Block scheduling is not available
- Epic EMR experience preferred but not required
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active RN license in South Carolina or a Compact state (pending license considered, but must be in hand prior to start)
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg Telemetry experience required; 2 years preferred
- Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible
Additional Information
- This is a Resource Float Pool role — floating to other units across both campuses is a routine expectation
- Must pass a Cardiac Dysrhythmia test and a medication test on the first day of orientation; only one attempt is permitted
- Fit testing is required at orientation; shaving may be necessary to pass the respirator fit test
- All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of initial consideration — RTO requests made after submission will not be honored
- An attendance policy is in effect: missing more than two shifts within the 13-week contract without a reasonable explanation may result in contract review or cancellation
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years are required for consideration
