Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg position requiring at least 2 years of experience, telemetry reading ability, and Epic proficiency.
Details
- 13-week contract on a Medical/Surgical nursing unit
- Day shift hours: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
- Every other weekend (EOW) and every other holiday (EOH) required
- Telemetry monitoring is part of the role; ability to read telemetry strips is required
- Charting is performed in Epic
- Floating may be required within the facility or to affiliated sites within 40 miles based on skill set
Requirements
- Active WI RN license or a Compact RN license currently in hand
- Current BLS certification (AHA-issued) required
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
- Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience required
- Telemetry background required (ability to read telemetry)
- Epic EMR experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Valid Driver's License required for consideration
- US Social Security Number required; candidate must provide a valid US home address
Additional Information
- Artificial or acrylic nails are not permitted; natural nails must be kept shorter than 1/4 inch
- Local candidates are accepted but may be subject to a reduced pay rate depending on proximity to the facility
- Two professional references are required for consideration
- Flu vaccination status may be required — confirm current requirements upon application
