Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Medical ICU (MICU) position requiring a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience, ACLS/BLS/NIHSS certifications, and night shift availability with every other weekend coverage.
Details
- Medical ICU (MICU) unit within an acute care hospital setting
- Cares for chronically ill patients requiring mechanical ventilation and complex medication management, with diagnoses including hypertensive urgency, sepsis, and CVA/stroke
- Designated COVID-positive unit; may also receive overflow Surgical or Cardiac ICU patients when no other bed is available
- Nurses are expected to titrate vasopressors and manage IV medications for critically ill patients
- Charting system: MEDITECH
- Night shift: 7p–7a, 12-hour shifts
- Every other weekend required
- 17-week contract
Requirements
- Active GA or compact RN license currently in hand
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
- Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience required
- Driver's license required for consideration
- Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible for placement
Additional Information
- BSN is not required for this position
- Candidates who have been employed by this facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
- Time off and scheduling requests are honored only if submitted and confirmed at the time of assignment acceptance
- RTO requests must be established prior to the start of the assignment
