Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Stepdown/PCU position with required ICU and Stepdown experience, primarily in a Stepdown unit with floating responsibilities to ICU and Med/Surg.

Details

• Primary work setting is a 21-bed Stepdown/PCU unit, with floating required to ICU and Med/Surg as needed
• Patient ratio of 1:4-5
• Procedures and patient types include non-titrating drips (Amiodarone, NTG, Cardizem, Lopressor, Cardene), vascular cases (fem-pop, CEA), NSTEMIs, post-cardiac cath with intervention, CIWA with IVP Ativan (no Precedex), peritoneal dialysis, stable BiPAP, heated high-flow O2 at <80%, home ventilators (Trilogy), wound care, nebulizer treatments, and hemodialysis managed through the Dialysis Department
• EMR: Meditech
• Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
• Every other weekend (EOW) required
• Orientation held every Wednesday

Requirements

• Active SC RN license or compact RN license currently in hand is required
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Stepdown/PCU and ICU experience both required
• Travel nursing experience preferred
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for this position
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Copy of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration

• Candidates must be comfortable floating between Stepdown, ICU, and Med/Surg units
