Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel Occupational Therapist with 2+ years of experience for a 60-bed inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital in Tacoma, WA, with a strong preference for CVA/neuro background.

Details

  • 60-bed inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital setting dedicated to the treatment and recovery of individuals who have experienced severe injury or illness
  • Occupational Therapy department within a state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility
  • Adult and older adult patient population
  • Patient caseload of approximately 6.5 treatments per 8-hour day
  • Primary schedule is Monday–Friday (approximately 7:00am–3:30pm or 8:00am–4:30pm), with one weekend day per month offset by a comp day during the week
  • 36-hour work week

Requirements

  • Active OT license required; license required if applicable
  • Minimum 2 years of OT experience required
  • Inpatient rehabilitation experience required
  • CVA/neurological experience strongly preferred
  • AHA certifications required
  • SSN and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Candidates must not have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
  • Candidates must not be employed full-time elsewhere during the assignment
  • Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for this travel position
  • Any scrub color is acceptable
  • First-time travelers are not explicitly excluded but inpatient rehab experience is required
