Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring a compact or CO RN license and prior circulating and scrubbing experience.

Details

• Work in a busy Main OR with 14 operating rooms, including 1 hybrid CV OR, 1 cysto room, and 12 multipurpose ORs
• Part of a large OR team including RNs, CSTs, PCTs, Anesthesia Techs, and Service Line Leads
• Day shift staffing includes 14-16 RNs and 14-16 CSTs with 2 Clinical Charge RNs
• Night shift staffed with a Clinical Charge RN, 1 OR RN, and 1 CST, with call teams for Neuro, CVOR, and General
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Uses standard OR equipment and Stryker video systems
• Meditech EMR used
• Scheduled shift is 7A-7P
• On-call required 5P-7P one day per week, plus weekend on-call once every 6 weeks when the SSC Ortho doctor is on-call
• Performs procedures including angioplasty, appendectomy, biopsy, and ortho/spine cases
• No transplant procedures performed on this unit

Requirements

• Active RN license (CO or compact) required
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• Minimum of 1 year current hospital acute care experience required
• Circulating and scrubbing experience preferred
• Meditech EMR experience preferred
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
• One professional reference required
