Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with Level IV NICU experience for a day shift travel assignment at a Magnet-designated academic medical center in Washington State.

Details

  • Work in a 637-bed short-term acute care, Magnet-designated teaching hospital
  • Assignment covers Level IV NICU, adult ICU, and adult floor respiratory therapy
  • Level IV NICU patient population with cross-coverage to adult settings
  • Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00–19:30)
  • Weekend work required as needed by the unit
  • Floating within the hospital is required; no floating to sister facilities
  • On-call is not required
  • Epic used for charting; experience preferred but not required
  • Block scheduling is not available

Requirements

  • Active RRT credential required
  • Active Washington State Respiratory Care license required; pending license not accepted
  • Minimum 2 years of experience, including Level IV NICU experience
  • BLS required
  • COVID vaccination and booster required — no exceptions
  • At least 2 completed travel assignments beyond initial staff position required
  • License required if applicable

Additional Information

  • Provide respiratory therapy services across Level IV NICU, adult ICU, and adult medical floor settings
  • Teaching hospital and trauma hospital experience preferred
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • Local candidates are accepted at the same rates; no radius restriction
  • Prior UW staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 18 months before returning as a traveler
  • RTO may not be requested during orientation week and should otherwise be kept to a minimum; maximum 1 week of RTO for the contract
  • Scrubs in any color are acceptable; scrubs are provided for OR personnel
  • Daily parking is available on-site for a fee
