Description
American Traveler is seeking an IR Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment in an acute care, Level I Trauma facility with 2+ years of IR experience and ARRT (R) certification required.
Details
- Acute care hospital setting within a dedicated Interventional Radiology unit
- Unit consists of 2 general IR suites, 1 spine IR room, and 2 neuro endo suites
- Typical caseload of 5–10 cases per day
- Common procedures include GI/GJ tube placements, port insertions, angiograms, lumbar punctures, myelograms, nephrostomy tubes, stents, IVC filters, and blood patches
- Neuro endovascular procedures (embolizations, stents, stroke treatment) are a plus; candidates with primarily neuro IR backgrounds may also be considered
- Sedation cases are staffed with 2 RNs; RT scrubs with MD
- Charting via Cerner EMR; PACS (DR) system also in use
- Day shifts, Monday–Friday, 8 hours (8:30 AM–5:00 PM or 9:00 AM–5:30 PM)
- Some Saturday shifts may be required
- No call requirement
- No floating outside of the Radiology department
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of IR/interventional radiology experience required
- Level I Trauma experience required
- ARRT (R) certification required
- BLS certification required
- Arizona MRTBE-CRT state license required if applicable
- VI (Vascular Interventional) certificate is a plus but not required
- Scrub experience preferred
- Experience with Cerner EMR preferred
- Experience with Philips Allura and Medrad injector preferred
- A copy of your driver's license is required for consideration
- 2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, both including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire
Additional Information
- Candidate must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates, as determined by permanent address on driver's license
- Candidates who have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by a CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity-affiliated facility within the past year are not eligible; candidates placed PRN through outside staffing firms will be considered
- A manager interview is required as part of the selection process
- 12-hour orientation included
