  • Patient ratio is 1:5
  • Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
  • 8 weekend shifts required per 6-week scheduling period, with shifts falling on any combination of Friday, Saturday, or Sunday
  • No on-call requirements

  • Virtual Nurse support is available on the unit

Requirements

  • Active RN license for both Kansas and Missouri — or a compact license — must be in hand at time of consideration; unwillingness to float across state lines may result in cancellation
  • A KS or compact RN license is required
  • Minimum 2 years of recent PCU/Med-Surg Intermediate specialty experience required, including at least 1 full year of in-specialty experience within the past 12 months with no employment gap greater than 90 days in the past year
  • Required certifications: BLS and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)

  • Holiday shift coverage is required as assigned by the unit
  • Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are considered local and are not eligible for this position
  • RTO is capped at 7 days for the duration of the contract
