Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a travel contract with a strong background in orthopedic/sports medicine and robotics, working a 4x10-hour day shift schedule.
Details
- Hospital-based Operating Room setting
- Case mix includes ortho/sports medicine, general surgery, urology, gynecology, spine, ENT, total joints, neuro/spine, OB-GYN, plastics, robotics, trauma, and vascular
- Approximately 30% inpatient, 70% outpatient, and 10% pediatric case volume
- Day shift: 4x10-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
- On-call may be required; weekend coverage for on-call support only
- Floating may be required to other campuses within the state
- EMR: Epic (required)
Requirements
- Active WA RN license or valid compact RN license currently in hand
- Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
- Minimum 2 years of OR RN experience required
- Orthopedic/sports medicine experience required
- Robotics experience required
- Scrub experience preferred; ENT with endoscope experience strongly preferred
- Proficiency required in: procedural sedation, blood/blood products administration, drains, epidural pumps, PICC/central lines, Port-A-Cath/vascular device access and care, and wound VAC
- Epic EMR experience required
- Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting
- Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
Additional Information
- Circulator and scrub roles across multiple surgical specialties including ENT, total joints, neuro/spine, OB-GYN, ortho, plastics, robotics, trauma, and vascular
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Former permanent staff of this health system are not eligible to work as travelers; former travelers or per-diem staff must disclose prior locations and dates worked at any Providence facility
- Minimal RTO is strongly preferred for this position
- Candidates who were formerly permanent employees must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
