Description

American Traveler is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a 3-room inpatient/outpatient/ER unit, requiring 2+ years of experience and proficiency in cardiac, bone scan, and thyroid studies.

Details

• 3-room Nuclear Medicine unit serving inpatient, outpatient, and ER patients
• Average of 13–15 patients per day
• Procedures include cardiac studies, bone scans, liver/spleen scans, lung scans, thyroid studies, tumor localization, and myocardial imaging
• Preferred procedure experience includes brain scans, renal flow, and SPECT
• Siemens equipment preferred
• Cerner EMR — experience required
• 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• Hours may vary depending on workload
• Floating within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate facility is required

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience
• Current BLS certification (AHA and RQI accepted)
• ARRT(N) or NMTCB certification required
• IN or Compact state license required if applicable
• Proficiency with IV starts and PACS
• Experience with Cerner EMR required
• 2 supervisor references required for consideration
• SSN and DOB required for consideration

• Any current or former permanent or PRN employee of IU Health must have a 12-month gap before applying as a traveler
• Travelers who have accrued 12 months of travel employment within IU Health must take a consecutive break to reset eligibility — 90 days for out-of-state residents and 180 days for in-state residents
• Up to 5 days of RTO can be auto-approved
• Candidates are expected to work 2 out of 3 major holidays
