Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cath Lab/PACU position requiring critical care experience, call availability, and a minimum of 1-2 years of relevant experience.
Details
- Work in the Cath Lab unit of an acute care hospital setting
- Assignment is 13 weeks in duration
- Post-procedure recovery care in the Cath Lab PACU, including groin site management
- Recovery cases range from general anesthesia to moderate sedation
- Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (6:45 AM - 7:15 PM)
- On-call is required for this position
Requirements
- Active RN license (Standard or Compact) currently in hand
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- Minimum 1-2 years of Cath Lab or Cath Lab recovery experience required
- Critical care experience required
- Familiarity with groin site management required
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
- 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provide post-procedural recovery care to Cath Lab patients, including monitoring patients recovering from general anesthesia and moderate sedation
- Former permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 1 year before working as a traveler
- No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved; no RTO during the first week of orientation
- Travel pairs or groups are not accepted for this position
