Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring a minimum of 2 years of ED experience and active GA or compact RN licensure.

Details

• Emergency Department (ED) setting within a hospital environment
• Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Every other weekend required
• Floating within the facility and scope of practice as needed
• No on-call responsibilities
• Epic EMR used
• 16-week contract

Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of ED experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS
• Epic experience required
• Copies of all required certifications must be provided for consideration
• Two supervisory references (manager level or above; charge nurse references not accepted) are highly preferred

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
• Local candidates are accepted
• No schedule change requests or alternate shift requests are permitted; the posted shift is firm
• RTO is limited to a maximum of 7 days per contract; RTO cannot be requested during the first week of the assignment
• If one or two major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work all of them with no holiday RTO permitted; if three major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two of them with one holiday RTO request eligible for review
• Major holidays include: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday (counts as 1), Christmas Eve/Christmas Day (counts as 1), and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day (counts as 1)
• Travelers must be away from all facilities within this health system for a minimum of 1 full year before returning as a traveler
• Full compliance with onboarding requirements must be completed on time; delays may result in a 2-week pushback due to a bi-weekly orientation schedule
